Lean Tour Review

Once per fiscal quarter TrippNT opens its doors to share its journey with Lean and its unique company culture. The TrippNTour for Quarter 3 took place on Thursday, August 3rd. A full cohort of twenty people joined including some from a few local companies.

Tour attendees arrived just before 8 am and were greeted by Austin Washington, Fabrication Department Lead, and were briefly introduced to TrippNT by Sebastian McLeod, CEO, while the rest of the Company completed the daily routine of cleaning the entire building.

At 8:15 the tourists participated in the Morning Meeting. The tourists then split into groups of four or five, led by members of the executive team, to get a full tour of the facility and a chance to speak with individual employees at 8:30. Once each group had had ample time to speak to TrippNT employees at their workstations, the groups returned to the Escoffier Cafe for the Employee Panel and hosted by Andrew Hovey, Corporate Chef. They then spent 30 minutes directing questions to the panel members including Maya Rufo, Fabrication Specialist (<1 year); Scott Hutson, Senior Engineer (17 years); Martin Rodriguez, Cart Line Specialist (1 year); and Alejandro Chavira, Fabrication CNC (7 years). During the employee panel, the leadership team recused themselves from attending to provide our attendees direct, unfiltered access to TrippNTeam members.

Prior to adjournment, tour attendees were treated to a warm piece of coffee cake, made from scratch by Andrew Hovey, Corporate Chef (a sliver of a preview of what TrippNT employees experience every day).
